Helping people has always seemed to be the center of my life. I have spent my time finding different ways to serve others and nurture those who are in need. When looking for careers, being able to continue this service was one of the key components I needed in any job. Massage Therapy has met this need above and beyond. It has helped me to serve others through relaxation, comfort, and health. It has also provided me an opportunity to seek balance in my life.
In school, our first class was a self care class. We learned about good body mechanics as well as healthy life practices that would help give longevity to our careers. We learned to take care of ourselves first, then the client.
I take care of myself through many outlets and leisures. I love strategy board games. They allow me to socialize while also engaging my brain. I enjoy walks and hikes in the outdoors. The fresh air and beauty that nature provides helps keep me grounded and appreciative of the simplicities of life while also keeping me physically active.
I love my wife. I don't just love being in a relationship, but I love being in a relationship with her. She empowers me. She helps me do hard things and gives me the support and love I need to run a personal practice. She also makes sure I don't leave the house looking like a goon. I would wear swim trunks every day if I could, I think they are the most comfortable article of clothing below the waist. However, bless her heart, I am forbidden from committing such a crime.
